Floyd Gadd is a Manitoba-born musician and technician who has been providing services to piano owners in western Manitoba since 2003.
 Floyd holds two baccalaureate degrees—one in church music and the other in musical performance (voice). His life-long interest in mechanical systems and his musical inclinations found a happy meeting place in the field piano technology.
In 2007 Floyd became an Associate Member of the Piano Technicians Guild. The instruction, evaluation and encouragement he has received from other members of this international organization have contributed tremendously to his growth in the knowledge and skills of the trade. The members of the Manitoba chapter of the Guild have been especially generous and helpful, spurring him on in the pursuit of excellence in service to his customers.
Floyd is grateful for the patronage of his growing base of loyal customers throughout the area. While most of his work is done in private homes, he does a significant amount of work for music teachers, schools and churches. He has been especially stimulated and challenged by the opportunity to do concert work, tuning on a number of occasions for the Virden Auditorium, Brandon University and the Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium.
In addition to his work as a piano technician, Floyd has been active as a music teacher, teaching voice at the Brandon University School of Music from 2008 to 2011. He is also a member of Faith Fellowship Baptist Church, where he carries a variety of responsibilities. Floyd, together with Karen, his wife of more than 25 years, has three children. They all enjoy making music.
